Low-Fat Cranberry And Apple Crisp
- 4 c. chopped peeled apples
- 3 c. cranberries, washed and drained
- 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. oats, uncooked
- 1/3 c. unbleached or all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 c. low-fat margarine, melted
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- In a large bowl, combine apples, cranberries and granulated sugar.
- Spread in a shallow 2-quart casserole or a 10-inch square pan.
- In a medium sized bowl, blend brown sugar, oatmeal, flour and spices.
- Pour melted margarine over oatmeal mixture; blend well.
- Spread topping over fruit. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour.
- Serve warm.
- Makes 10 servings; each serving contains 6 grams of fat.
