Toffee Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.rnMix butter and sugar in a food processor.
  2. Add flour and pulse to combine.
  3. Place mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch pan.
  4. Sprinkle pecans over the top and press firmly into the crust. Set aside.
  5. Make Caramel Sauce: Melt butter over low heat. Add brown sugar and increase heat to bring to a boil. Boil the mixture for one minute.
  6. Pour caramel over the crust. Bake for 20 minutes at 350u0b0. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Make Topping: Pour chocolate chips over the slightly cooled caramel. Push down slightly so chips stick to caramel (some will melt slightly).
  8. Sprinkle with pecans and push them into caramel as well.
  9. Bake 5 minutes more. Cool completely before cutting into small pieces.
