Barbecue Pork And Beef Sandwiches
- 1 1/2 lb. lean beef cubes
- 1 1/2 lb. lean pork cubes
- 2 c. chopped onion
- 2 small chopped green peppers
- 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. cider vinegar
- 1/4 c. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire
- Put
- all
- ingredients
- in
- 5
- quart
- crock-pot
- or slow cooker.
- Mix
- well.
- Cover;
- cook on High at 300u0b0 for 8 hours. With
- wire
- whisk, stir mixture until meat is shredded.
- Serve on poor boy buns with sliced onion and dill pickles.
- Makes 12 sandwiches.
- To
- cook on top of range, use 6 quart Dutch oven. Add 1 cup water.
- Simmer 3 hours.
