Maple Pork Chops
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 6 pork chops (about 1 1/2 lb.), fat trimmed
- 1/4 c. onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. maple syrup
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. flour (optional; to thicken gravy)
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0.
- In a large skillet, heat oil.
- Add pork chops and brown, turning once to brown second side.
- Place pork chops in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- In a medium saucepan over a low heat, combine onion, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, chili powder, pepper, maple syrup and water, about 4 to 5 minutes.
- Pour the mixture over pork chops and bake covered for 45 minutes, basting occasionally.
- Uncover and bake additional 15 minutes. Remove pork chops; cover and set aside.
