Bourbon Barbecued Ribs
- 1 c. ketchup
- 1/3 c. bourbon
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- hot pepper sauce to taste
- 4 1/2 lb. fresh pork spareribs, cut into serving pieces
- Mix all ingredients except spareribs; let stand at room temperature for 1 1/2 hours.
- Place spareribs, meaty side up, on rack in shallow roasting pan.
- Roast uncovered in 325u0b0 oven 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- Brush sauce over ribs.
- Roast, turning and brushing frequently with sauce, until ribs are done, about 45 minutes longer.
- Heat remaining sauce to boiling, stirring occasionally. Serve with ribs.
- Yield:
- 6 servings.
