Chewy Chocolate Cookies
- 1 1/4 c. butter or oleo, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. (12 oz.) pkg. Reese's peanut butter chips or 2 c. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
- Heat
- oven
- to 350u0b0.
- In large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar
- until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Combine
- flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt;
- gradually blend into
- creamed mixture.
- Stir in peanut butter or chocolatethips. Drop
- by
- teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 9 minutes.
- (Do not overbake.
- Cookies will be soft. They
- will puff while baking and flatten while cooking.) Cool slightly. Remove
- from
- cookie
- sheet
- onto
- wire rack.
- Cool completely. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
