Mabo Tofu (Mapo Doufu)

  1. Cook your rice
  2. Turn the heat up high, add the regular oil, minced garlic, tobanjan and ground beef and stir until the beef changes color.
  3. Add soy sauce and pepper and sake (to taste). Drop temperature to medium heat
  4. Add tofu and let the tofu absorb the flavor
  5. Mix half a cup of water with 1 teaspoon of starch then slowly add it to the meat/tofu mix.
  6. Add a teaspoon of sesame oil and stir
  7. Put your rice in a bowl and add the Mabo to the top
