Strawberry-Pretzel Salad
- 2 c. pretzels, crushed
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. margarine, melted
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 (10 oz.) carton Cool Whip
- 1 (6 oz.) strawberry Jell-O
- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries (with juice; I use fresh strawberries, sliced)
- Mix pretzels, 3 tablespoons
- sugar and melted margarine together and spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 10 minutes.
- Let cool.
- Mix
- cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and topping together.
- Spread on
- top
- of
- cooled
- pretzel
- layer. Dissolve Jell-O
- in
- boiling
- water;
- add
- strawberries,
- let partially set.
- When Jell-O
- mixture is partially firm, spread on top of cheese layer and chill thoroughly.
