Beef Yorkshire Pie
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. ground coriander
- 1/8 tsp. cumin
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- Cook beef and onion in hot skillet, cutting meat apart with fork.
- Remove from heat.
- Drain off fat and mix in teaspoon of salt and next 4 ingredients.
- Set aside.
- Place a 10-inch ovenproof well-greased skillet in 400u0b0 oven until very hot.
- Blend flour and remaining salt in a bowl.
- Add mixture of eggs and milk; beat until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the hot skillet. Cover with beef mixture and top with remaining batter.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 40 minutes or until puffed and golden.
- Cut into wedges and serve from skillet.
