Merguez And Goat Cheese Stuffed French Toast

  1. Remove sausage from casing and crumble or dice and sautee until cooked through.
  2. Beat eggs into milk in a bowl.
  3. Make a slit in the center of each challah slice and fill with merguez and goat cheese.
  4. Dip each side of bread in egg mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil on a pan and fry in each side until golden brown.
  6. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar, fresh mint, an sliced almonds and drizzles with citrus syrup.
  7. Combine ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring.
  8. Cook until reduced to syrup.
