Col'S Spicy Barbecue Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 4 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 c. catsup
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 4 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
- 8 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 6 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. garlic powder
- In a large skillet, add the butter and heat on medium until melted.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook while stirring until lightly browned.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Store the sauce in a covered container in the refrigerator after each use.
- Sauce goes well on beef, chicken or pork.
- If using pork, try adding 1 to 2 tablespoons of curry powder.
- Makes 4 to 5 cups.
