California Potatoes
- 32 oz. frozen hash brown potatoes
- 1/2 c. chopped onions or 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 stick (1/2 c.) butter or margarine, melted
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 2 c. crushed corn flake crumbs or bread crumbs
- 1/2 stick (1/4 c.) butter or margarine, melted
- salt and pepper to taste
- Break potatoes into a large bowl.
- Mix sour cream, salt, pepper, onions, cheese and soup together.
- Mix with potatoes. Pour melted butter into the mixture and mix well.
- Pour all into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- Mix the crushed corn flake crumbs and the 1/2 stick of melted butter together and then spread on top of the potatoes.
- Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until bubbly.
