Beefed-Up Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. green chili
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- Bisquick recipe (for 10 biscuits)
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- Brown
- beef,
- onion
- and chili.
- Drain grease.
- Stir in tomato sauce and garlic salt.
- Simmer while preparing Bisquick dough. Combine 1/2 cup cheese, sour cream and egg.
- Mix well. Fold in beef
- mixture.
- Line 9 x 13-inch baking dish with 3/4 of
- the Bisquick
- dough.
- Pour
- beef
- mixture.
- Put
- rest
- of Bisquick scattered
- on top.
- Sprinkle remaining cup of cheese on top of dough and casserole.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 minutes or until Bisquick is browned.
