Sweet And Sour Meatballs With Rice(About 10 Servings)
- 1 envelope regular onion soup mix
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 eggs
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 (8 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
- 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, drain and snip
- 3/4 c. chili sauce
- 3/4 c. water
- 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- hot cooked rice
- Beat eggs in soup and water with fork.
- Add ground beef and shape in about 40 meatballs.
- Combine remaining ingredients (except rice).
- Pour 1/2 mixture in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Brown meatball mixture in 10-inch skillet, about 1/3 at a time. Remove and drain off fat.
- Add on top of
- sauerkraut in baking dish. Pour remaining sauerkraut mixture over meatballs.
- Cover with foil and bake at 325u0b0 in oven for 20 minutes.
- Uncover, bake 15 to 20 minutes longer.
- Serve over hot rice.
