Marinated Steak Salad
- 1 lb. sirloin steak, cut 1 inch thick
- 1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen artichokes, thawed
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 c. red wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 10 cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 medium carrot, thinly sliced
- 1/3 c. olive or salad oil
- 1/2 tsp. shredded lemon peel
- 1 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram, crushed
- 4 c. torn salad greens
- Slash fat edges of steak.
- Broil 3 inches from heat for 6 minutes.
- Turn and broil until done (medium 6 to 9 minutes). Cool.
- Cut into thin slices.
- Place steak in plastic bag in bowl.
