- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh lilac blossoms
- Lilac Lemonade
- 1 lemon; juiced
- 2-4 tablespoons of lilac simple syrup (this can be adjusted to taste)
- 8 ounces cold water (or sparkling water)
- ice cubes
- Combine the water and the sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring to disolve sugar.
- Once mixture has come to boil, reduce the heat, add the lilac blossoms, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Strain into a container. This simple syrup can be kept in the refigerator for up to two weeks.
- In a tall glass combine the lemon juice, and the water. Add 2 Tbs. of the lilac simple syrup. You can always add more but you can't take out what you've added. If you want more syrup, add more.
- Add a couple of ice cubes and some lilac blossoms for garnish. Serve immediatly.
