Sauteed Apples With Pecan Slices

  1. Combine brown sugar, butter and cinnamon in a large skillet; cook over medium-high heat until butter melts.
  2. Add apple slices, turning to coat.
  3. Saute 5 minutes or until tender.
  4. Transfer apples to a serving plate.
  5. Add cream and rum seasoning to skillet, stirring well.
  6. Bring to a boil.
  7. Boil 10 to 15 minutes or until mixture is thickened and reduced to about 2/3 cup.
  8. Stir in dates and reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 1 minute.
  9. Remove from heat and stir in pecans.
  10. Arrange apple slices around 4 bowls.
  11. Put ice cream in the middle and spoon sauce over apple slices.
  12. Makes 4 servings.
