Chicken In The Grass
- 16 pieces Fri Chik
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 green peppers
- 4 onions
- 16 oz. spinach noodles
- 8 canned artichoke hearts (reserve liquid)
- 1 small can button mushrooms (reserve liquid)
- 1 pt. sour cream
- Heat oil in frypan over medium heat.
- Cut peppers and onions into strips.
- Add garlic, peppers and onions to frypan and saute until barely tender.
- Cook noodles
- until just tender.
- Line deep casserole with double thickness of foil.
- Spread noodles over bottom of the casserole.
- Place Fri Chik on noodles.
- Cover Fri Chik and noodles with peppers, onions, artichoke hearts and mushrooms.
- Add reserved juices.
- Cover with foil and bake in a 375u0b0 oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove top foil and spread sour cream over casserole.
- Bake an additional 10 minutes.
- Makes 8 servings.
