Sweet Potato Pie

  1. Peel and pulp sweet potatoes.
  2. Mix with next 7 ingredients. Spoon mixture into pastry prepared cake pan.
  3. With electric mixer, blend next 5 ingredients.
  4. Beat until smooth and syrupy.
  5. Stir in pecans.
  6. Pour this mixture atop sweet potato mixture.
  7. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 1/2 hours until a knife inserted in middle comes out clean.
  8. Serve with whipped cream.
  9. Serves 12.
