Pork Chops Creole
- 4 to 6 pork chops (1/2-inch or more thick)
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 can condensed tomato soup
- 1/2 can water
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. chopped green pepper
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 5 or 6 generous shakes Tabasco sauce
- crushed corn flakes
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Dry chops.
- Dip in egg and coat with crumbs.
- Gently saute in oil or hot fat.
- In saucepan combine remaining ingredients except corn flakes.
- Heat almost to a boil. Pour some sauce in baking dish.
- Put chops in dish and cover with remaining sauce.
- Bake covered for 1 hour.
- Remove cover.
- Top with corn flakes.
- Spoon sauce over all.
- Bake uncovered approximately 15 minutes.
