Mary'S Chocolate Oat Chip Cookies
- 1 c. or 2 sticks butter, soften
- 1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. oats
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. or 2 c. chocolate chips
- Heat oven at 375u0b0.
- Beat butter and sugars until creamy.
- Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.
- Add flour, baking soda and salt.
- Beat well.
- Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
- Stir well. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 9 to 10 minutes for chewy or 12 to 13 for crisp.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet.
- Remove to wire rack.
- Cool completely. Makes 5 dozen (2 1/2-inch) cookies.
