Mary'S Chocolate Oat Chip Cookies

  1. Heat oven at 375u0b0.
  2. Beat butter and sugars until creamy.
  3. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.
  4. Add flour, baking soda and salt.
  5. Beat well.
  6. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
  7. Stir well. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 9 to 10 minutes for chewy or 12 to 13 for crisp.
  9. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet.
  10. Remove to wire rack.
  11. Cool completely. Makes 5 dozen (2 1/2-inch) cookies.
