Perfect Chocolate Cake & Cream Cheese Frosting

  1. Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl, or the bowl of your stand mixer if using one until well incorporated.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients except the boiling water and butter, and mix well using a stand mixer, or an electric beater and blend until smooth.
  3. Add the boiling water and mix on a low setting at first, then increase the speed until well mixed.
  4. Grease a bundt pan with butter, and a light spray of cooking spray, and pour the batter in.
  5. Bake at 350* for 35 minutes.
  6. Beat the cream cheese by itself first using a mixer.
  7. Add the remaining frosting ingredients, and blend until smooth and creamy.
  8. Once the cake cools, transfer it to a serving platter, and generously coat it with the frosting.
