Crockery Barbecued Beef
- 3/4 c. cola (not diet)
- 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. instant beef bouillon granules
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
- 1 1/2 lb. boneless beef chuck roast
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- In large bowl, combine cola, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, garlic, bouillon granules, mustard, chili powder and red pepper. Reserve 1/2 cup for sauce.
- Trim excess fat from meat.
- Cut into pieces and place meat and onions in crock-pot (at least 3 1/2-quart).
- Pour liquid (except the 1/2 cup reserved) over meat. Cover and cook 10 to 12 hours on low heat setting or 5 to 6 hours on high.
