Mushroom Gravy Hamburgers

  1. Mix hamburger, onion, eggs, soda crackers and seasoned salt thoroughly.
  2. Heat a medium size cast iron skillet with vegetable oil.
  3. Make 1-inch thick hamburgers.
  4. Arrange in skillet and brown slowly on both sides, using lid to cover and meat will stay moist, approximately 20 minutes.
  5. Put mushroom soup on top of each hamburger, large spoonful at a time.
  6. Do not dilute.
  7. Use empty can to measure 2/3 cup water; pour in pan along sides of hamburgers, so doesn't touch tops.
  8. Sprinkle oregano on top of each soup covered hamburger; return lid to skillet.
  9. Reduce heat and simmer 1/2 hour. Juices will blend on their own.
