Cocktail Rye Pizza Snacks
- 1 lb. Italian sausage
- 1 lb. hot bulk pork sausage
- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped fine
- 2 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 lb. processed American cheese, cubed
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, cubed
- 1 lb. Longhorn or Colby cheese, grated
- 3 (8 oz.) loaves party rye bread
- Remove casing from Italian sausage; crumble sausage into large skillet.
- Add pork sausage and ground beef.
- Add the onion and green pepper.
- Cook thoroughly, stirring constantly, until meat is browned.
- Drain well on paper towels; also wipe the skillet.
- Then return meat mixture to skillet.
- Add seasonings and mix well. Heat through until hot, then stir in cheese until melted.
- Remove from heat.
