Spiced Holiday Tea
- 7 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 tea bags
- 1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate, plus 1 can water
- 4 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 4 c. water
- 5 cinnamon sticks
- 1 Tbsp. whole cloves
- lemon slices or cinnamon sticks (optional garnish)
- Bring the 7 cups of water and the sugar to boil in a large saucepan; cook until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the tea bags. Remove from the heat and steep for 5 minutes; remove the tea bags. Add the orange juice concentrate and 1 can of water and the lemon juice.
- In a separate pan, combine the 4 cups of water, the cinnamon sticks and the cloves.
- Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Strain and add to the tea mixture.
- Serve hot, garnished with lemon slices or cinnamon sticks.
- Yields 3 1/4 quarts.
