Cooking Red Beans Supreme And Rice With The Rice Family
- 1 small bag red beans
- 1 medium size onion
- 6 hamhocks
- chili powder, salt, pepper, bay leaves, celery and Worcestershire
- Wash pork chops and dry with a paper towel.
- Season both sides to taste with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.
- Place chops in a bag with flour and shake until chops are covered.
- Remove excess flour from chops.
- Add 1 cup of oil, depending on size of frying pan.
- Heat on medium.
- Place chops in frying pan; fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove chops and place on paper towels to drain.
- At this point, remove oil and make gravy or you can cheat, remove oil and add Pepperidge Farm brown gravy to frying pan.
- Add chops and let simmer 15 to 30 minutes, depending on thickness of the chops.
- Note:
- Gravy should cover chops.
