Swedish Spice Cookies
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. dairy sour cream
- 2 tsp. dried grated orange peel
- 1 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- sugar
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease baking sheets.
- Set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and sour cream.
- Stir in orange peel, cardamom, ginger and cloves.
- Mix in flour and baking soda.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll in sugar.
- Place 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
- Flatten each cookie with bottom of drinking glass.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Remove to cooling rack.
- Makes 5 to 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
