Dried Beef Casserole
- 1 (2 1/2 oz.) jar dried beef
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. green pepper
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 3/4 soup can milk
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 4 oz. (1 1/4 c.) macaroni, uncooked
- 4 oz. sharp cheese, shredded
- Melt butter in a saucepan.
- Add onion and pepper.
- Cook until tender, about 5 minutes on low heat. Cut dried beef into small pieces.
- Add to onion mixture and continue cooking until browned. Stir in soup, milk, pepper and paprika.
- Heat to boiling.
- Cook macaroni as directed; do not add salt. Drain macaroni and rinse. Drain again.
- Combine with beef sauce.
- Pour into casserole. Spread well with cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, at 325u0b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
