Macadamia Nut Crunch
- 1 c. Macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 c. butter, at room temperature
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- Line
- bottom
- and
- sides
- of 9-inch round cake pan with aluminum
- foil.
- Butter
- generously.
- Cook nuts, butter, sugar and syrup
- in
- heavy
- skillet
- over
- low heat, stirring until butter melts
- and
- sugar
- dissolves.
- Increase
- heat and boil until mixture turns golden brown and begins to mass together, stirring constantly (about 5 minutes).
- Pour into pan, spreading
- evenly. Sprinkle
- with
- chocolate
- morsels, let melt and spread evenly over top.
- Cool 15 minutes.
- Remove from pan and peel off foil. Cool completely and break into pieces.
