Macadamia Nut Crunch

  1. Line
  2. bottom
  3. and
  4. sides
  5. of 9-inch round cake pan with aluminum
  6. foil.
  7. Butter
  8. generously.
  9. Cook nuts, butter, sugar and syrup
  10. in
  11. heavy
  12. skillet
  13. over
  14. low heat, stirring until butter melts
  15. and
  16. sugar
  17. dissolves.
  18. Increase
  19. heat and boil until mixture turns golden brown and begins to mass together, stirring constantly (about 5 minutes).
  20. Pour into pan, spreading
  21. evenly. Sprinkle
  22. with
  23. chocolate
  24. morsels, let melt and spread evenly over top.
  25. Cool 15 minutes.
  26. Remove from pan and peel off foil. Cool completely and break into pieces.
