Grandma'S Bread

  1. Cut bread into small diagonals, being careful not to slice all the way to bottom crust.
  2. In saucepan, combine butter, mustard, seasoned salt, onion, poppy seed and lemon juice.
  3. Stir until melted and blended.
  4. Cut cheese into julienne sticks, about 3/4-inch long by 1/4-inch square.
  5. Place cut loaf of bread on a large piece of heavy-duty foil.
  6. Start in the middle, stuffing alternate sticks of Swiss and Cheddar cheese into diagonal cuts, tucking them deep inside the bread.
  7. Use foil to hold loaf in shape as it expands from being stuffed with cheese.
