Macaroni Casserole Italiano

  1. In large skillet, crumble meat; cook until almost done. Drain.
  2. Add onion; cook until onion is tender.
  3. Add water, tomato paste, sauce mix and salt; stir until blended.
  4. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  5. Cover; simmer 20 to 25 minutes.
  6. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  7. Stir pasta into sauce; spoon into 2-quart casserole.
  8. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan cheese; broil 5 to 10 minutes until cheese is lightly browned. Makes 6 servings (1 cup each).
