Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle
- 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
- 1 pt. whipping cream
- 2 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. almond flavoring
- 1 large angel food cake
- 1 qt. sliced strawberries
- 1/4 c. sugar (optional)
- Beat cream cheese until it is softened.
- Beat in sour cream. In another bowl, beat whipping cream until soft peaks form.
- Stir into creamed cheese mixture.
- Stir in confectioners sugar, vanilla and almond flavoring.
- Cut angel food cake into 2-inch pieces. Gently fold cake into creamed mixture.
- Sugar berries with 1/4 cup sugar, if desired.
- Using a trifle or deep glass bowl, layer creamed mixture and strawberries, beginning and ending with creamed mixture.
- Garnish top with whole berries.
- Serves 10 to 15.
