Sauteed Sesame Fish
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 4 tile fish steaks
- 2/3 c. dried bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. sesame seed
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- lemon wedges
- parsley sprigs
- In a bowl, combine the flour, salt and pepper.
- Dredge the fish lightly in the seasoned flour.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs and sesame seed.
- In another shallow bowl, beat the egg with the milk until blended.
- Dip the fish into the egg mixture, then into the bread crumb mixture, turning to coat the fish completely.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter in the oil over medium-high heat.
- When the butter and oil are hot but not smoking, add the fish steaks and cook them until brown, about 5 minutes on each side.
- Serve fish hot with lemon wedges and parsley sprigs.
