Hearty Farm Soup

  1. Wash, sort and mix all three beans together.
  2. Cover with water and soak 1 hour.
  3. Drain; cover with water again.
  4. Add ham hock and bring to boil.
  5. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until beans are tender. In a skillet, brown sausage with apple, onion and celery.
  6. Drain off fat.
  7. Stir sausage mixture into beans.
  8. Stir in brown sugar, mustard and tomatoes; add garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes.
  9. Serves 10.
