The World'S Best Cookie
- 1 c. butter, at room temperature
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. rolled oats
- 1 c. crushed corn flakes
- 1 c. coconut, shredded (optional)
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Add egg and mix well.
- Add oil and vanilla, blending well.
- Add oats, corn flakes, coconut and nuts, stirring well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten with fork dipped in water.
- Bake for 12 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Cool on cookie sheet for a few minutes before removing.
- Makes 6 dozen.
