Peaches 'N Cream Dessert
- 1/2 stick butter, melted
- 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 4 c. peeled peaches, sliced
- sugar
- pinch of salt
- 2 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 pkg. peach gelatin
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 carton whipped topping
- Make crust of butter and graham cracker crumbs.
- Reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
- Put in a 9 x 9 x 3-inch pan.
- Put scant 1/2 cup of sugar in peaches; set aside.
- Mix 3/4 cup sugar, salt, cornstarch and water; cook until clear and thick.
- Add gelatin and dissolve.
- Allow to cool, then add peaches.
- Beat cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar.
- Gradually add milk; continue to beat.
- Fold in topping.
- Put 1/2 cream cheese mixture over crust.
- Add peaches.
- Top with remaining cream cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
