Cajun Chicken Pasta
- 4 ounces pasta of your choice
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
- 3 teaspoons seasonall(or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 4 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 2-3 thinly sliced green onion
- 2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- hot sauce
- 1. In a large pot with boiling salted water cook pasta until al dente; drain.
- 2. While the pasta is cooking, place chicken, hot sauce, and Cajun seasoning in a bowl and toss to coat.
- 3. In a large skillet over medium heat saute chicken in butter until chicken is tender.
- 4. Add green and red bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, garlic and onions, saute til tender.
- 5. Reduce heat; add heavy cream, basil, lemon pepper, salt, garlic powder and pepper and heat through.
- 6. In a large bowl toss linguini with sauce.
- 7. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
