Grandma'S Chocolate Velvet Pie With Sugar Cream Topping

  1. Filling
  2. melt the chocolate chips and begin to add in the cream cheese, blend together
  3. add vanilla, blend together
  4. using 1/2 of the pint of heavy whipping cream, fold into the chocolate mixture
  5. pour evenly into crust
  6. Chill for 4 hours
  7. Topping
  8. Using the other 1/2 of the heavy whipping cream, add in the sugar
  9. Using a hand whip or a beater whip together the cream and sugar until light and fluffy
  10. Add onto top of pie and decorate with shaved chocolate curls
  11. Chill for at least another hour
  12. Allow pie to come back to room temp for easier serving
