Italian Sausage And Potato Casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Thinly slice onion.
  3. Pare potatoes; slice 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Layer potato and onion rings in bottom of greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  5. Wash green pepper; cut into rings; arrange on top of casserole.
  6. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and basil. Pour salad oil and 1/2 cup water over the pepper.
  7. Arrange sausage on top.
  8. Cover tightly with foil.
  9. Bake 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
  10. Remove foil; bake 1/2 hour longer, or until sausage is browned.
  11. Makes 6 servings.
