Tailgating Stroganoff
- l large french bread 24-36 inches long
- 1 stick of melted butter
- 2 lbs 75% lean ground beef
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 1 pkg sliced mushrooms
- 12 ounces of sour cream
- 2 large fresh beefsteak tomtoes (thinly sliced)
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar or
- monterey jack cheese
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup of cream of sherry
- Take french loaf cut in 1/2 lengthwise. Remove all or most
- of bread brush with the melted
- butter and wrap in tin foil
- set aside
- Fry your hamburg, onions, mushrooms together when cooked
- pour sour cream into skillet and simmer for 20-30 minutes
- put french loaf in oven at 350
- for 20-25 minutes remove and
- take cream of sherry (optional) into sour cream mixture fill the french loaf
- cover with sliced tomatoes and
- top with cheese . Bake 20 minutes or until cheese has
- melted over tomatoes. remove
- from oven and slice usually
- you get 24-26 pieces
