Apple Or Pear Crisp
- 1 1/2 lb. apples or pears, peeled, cored and thin sliced
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 c. frozen unsweetened apple juice concentrate
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- dash of ground nutmeg
- 3 Tbsp. corn oil margarine, softened
- 10 graham cracker squares, crushed (3/4 c.)
- Toss apples or pears with 1 tablespoon flour in an 8-inch square baking dish.
- Add concentrated apple juice.
- Coat well.
- In small bowl, combine the rest of the flour and the spices with the margarine and mix until well blended.
- Gradually stir in the graham cracker crumbs until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over the fruit.
- Bake for 30 minutes until the topping is lightly browned and the fruit is tender.
- Makes 16 (2-inch) squares (1 square = 1 fruit equivalent).
