Hungarian Chicken Paprika With Dumplings

  1. Cut green pepper into 1/2 strips.
  2. Chop onion and garlic.
  3. Chop tomato and set aside.
  4. Remove fat and skin from chicken.
  5. Heat oil in skillet until hot.
  6. Brown chicken on all sides, about 15 minutes. Remove chicken.
  7. Sautee onions and garlic until onions are tender. Drain fat.
  8. Add tomato, chicken broth, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  9. Add chicken. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  10. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  11. Add green pepper; cover & cook 10 - 15 minutes.
  12. Prepare Dumplings.
  13. Remove chicken to heated platter. Skim Fat. Stir in sour cream.
  14. Add dumplings and heat until hot.
  15. Prepare Dumplings.
  16. Boil 8 cups water & 1 tsp salt in a dutch oven.
  17. Mix eggs, 1/2 cup water, salt and flour.
  18. Drop dough by teaspoon in to boiling water.
  19. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
  20. Drain
