Skillet Macaroni And Beef
- 1/3 c. cooking oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 c. slivered green pepper
- 1/2 c. sliced celery
- 1 c. frozen green beans, thawed enough to measure
- 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. slivered black olives
- Cook macaroni; drain.
- Heat oil in large, heavy skillet or wok. Add beef; cook and stir until lightly browned.
- Add onion, garlic, green pepper, celery, beans, tomatoes, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce; stir well.
- Add macaroni.
- Bring to a boil, turn down heat.
- Cover and simmer about 20 minutes.
- Stir often. Add a little water, if necessary to keep from sticking.
- Stir in olives and serve.
- Serves 6.
