Viva La Chocolate
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup Hershey's Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp McCormick nutmeg
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 cup brandy or congac
- 2 cups milk
- 3 eggs slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 container Duncan Hines Milk Chocolate frosting
- Set oven to 350 degrees
- Combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, nutmeg and baking soda.
- Melt shortening, add butter, milk, brandy and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and mix until combined. Beat on high for 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat on medium for 2 minutes.
- Pour into greased and floured 12 cup bunt pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Let cool completely befroe frosting.
