Bourbon Ham

  1. For fully cooked ham, warm up in oven at 325 degrees for 1/2 hour. Remove from oven and cool - then remove rind and score half inch apart -- drain off fat.
  2. For uncooked ham (12 - 14 lbs.), cook and then cool, score, etc.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup whiskey over ham.
  4. In a bowl, combine sugar, mustard and 1/4 cup whiskey.
  5. Coat the ham with whiskey, sugar mixture. Stud cloves evenly over ham. Cover with orange or pineapple slices. Use toothpicks to hold the slices to the ham.
  6. Bake at 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Baste with drippings 3 times while baking.
