Dinner & Sweet Rolls
- 4.5 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 packets yeast
- 3/4 cup milk, scalded
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 piece eggs
- Combine dry ingredients in mixer bowl.
- Scald milk, (bring to boil in microwave), and drop in cold butter, then stir to melt.
- Add water to milk / butter, start mixer and add liquids; running till thoroughly combined.
- Whisk two eggs lightly and add to batter, running two minutes till thoroughly uniform.
- With mixer running, gradually add flour till dough begins to pull away from bowl; scrape bowl.
- Turn dough onto floured surface; knead till smooth, about five minutes;
- Lightly grease dough ball, place in covered bowl & raise in warm place till double.
- Shape as dinner rolls or sw eet rolls and raise again.
