Cornbread Sausage
- 1 pkg. (7oz.) brown and serve sausage patties
- 1/4 c. margarine (divided)
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 pkg. (16oz.) cornbread stuffing
- 1 1/2 c. chopped apples
- 1 1/2 c. apple juice
- 1 1/4 c. water
- Heat oven to 350u0b0F.
- Grease 3-quart casserole dish.
- Cut sausage patties into pieces.
- Melt 1 Tablespoon of margarine in large skillet over medium-high heat, add walnuts;
- cook and stir until lightly browned.
- Remove nuts from skillet.
- Melt the remaining margarine in skillet.
- Add celery and onion;
- cook until tender.
- Toss together all ingredients except juice and water in a large bowl.
- Add juice and water;
- stir together.
- Spoon into casserole dish and cover.
- Bake 1 hour or until hot.
