Candied Orange Scones

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 400 Degrees
  2. 2. Sift first 4 ingredients together
  3. 3. Cut the butter into the dried mix with a pastry blender or rub with hands until it has the consistency of oatmeal
  4. 4. Add milk and sour cream
  5. Mix lightly until it's firm enough to form a solid dough. Try not to over mix.
  6. 5. Place dough on floured cutting board and do not mix, but form it into a round shape 1/2 inch thick. It's okay if it has lumps
  7. 6. Place on a non stick cookie sheet or wax paper
  8. 7. Cut into 8 wedges, no need to separate
  9. 8. Mix egg and syrup and brush on top of dough
  10. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until light brown
  11. Let cool in pan, then break apart to eat
