Grilled Smoked Pork Steak
- 4-10 oz pork steaks
- salt and or pepper to taste
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups of dry wood chips for smoking. the flavor is up to you, i prefer hickory. but apple is a good choice it will inpart a sweet flavor to the meat.
- aluminum foil
- your favorite bbq sauce(optional)
- garlic powder(optional)
- Start by making a foil pack with the aluminum add the wood chips seal up and poke some holes in the top with a fork or sharp knife about a dozen. Once your fire is ready put your foil pack on the grill. Once the foil pack stats to give off sone decent smoke put the pork steaks on the grill and slowly cook them so they pick up as much smoke flavor as possible. Each grill will cook differently. But you can figure around 30-45 min. Once done let rest a few min covered with foil to let the juices redistribute. When you cut into the meat you will see a slight pink ring along the outer edge of the meat this means you got good smoke penatration on your meat. If you like add your favorite bbq sauce to the meat during the last 10-15 min of the cooking time, but this is completely up to you.
